POST #72: Sarah Jessica Parker's second shoe collection has arrived

A while back I wrote about Sarah Jessica Parker's shoe collection, SJP.  I remember not really being impressed the shoe collection. You can read the article about her first collection here.

This time round the shoe's are more to my taste. Parker kept some of her originals in the collection, the overall look being ladylike and polished. With these hand made Italian shoes, you'll instantly feel like Carrie in Sex and the city!
The shoes are exclusively available at Nordstrom.

Post 71: Lokerse feesten and Folie du zoute

Hi there!

I haven't posted in a while, I've been busy with other projects. A few weeks ago, I was asked if I would like to write a blog for a shop called Jane&Joe. You might remember me writing about them a few times over the last thew months.
Of course I couldn't say no! So i've been busy doing that and part of the job is doing the Jane&Joe Facebook page

Now, back to the article. A few weeks ago my friend Elien announced that she had won 4 tickets to Folie du Zoute on the 6th of august. I was lucky enough to be asked by friend to join her along with two other friends, Shanna and Ilse. The tickets were for a fashion show followed by a party in Knokke. Being the diva's we are, we were late and missed the fashion show. Which was a shame but never mind, we had an amazing night!

None of us had any idea of what to expect. A few years ago Elien took me to another party in Ostend called Nacht van Exclusief, she had gotten tickets through her previous work and would be doing the Belgium celebreties hair before we went. But something told me this would be nothing like that party.

As we arrived, we noticed not many had taken notice of the 'touch of red' dresscode. So the past thew days stressing over a red outfit was basically unnecessary. Nevertheless I was glad I had worn a red dress Niki had lent me along with my new Michael Kors shoes. Big mistake, it was a nightmare, I have no idea why I thought wearing new shoes for the first time on a night out would be a good one. The next day when I went to Blink 182 numerous people treaded on my blisters :(

Along with the shoe thing we did have a bit of a bad experience at the bar, every.single.time(!!) we ordered a drink. But expect for that we had a blast! I love my friends and spending time with them like this. These are memories we will look back to later in life and laugh :)

Back in march, my friends Niki and Davey let me know Blink 182 would be preforming at the Lokerse Feesten this summer. We all grew up with there music and didn't want to miss out on the chance to see them preform live. The Lokerse Feesten is a small festival in Lokeren of all places. I didn't really know what to make of it, as it was such a small festival with only one stage.

First up were two other bands, don't ask, I've already forgotten who they were, as I'd never heard of them before. Before Blink 182 was up Niki and I went exploring. I love festival food! There's always so much choice of exotic and fast foods. Again, because the place was so small there wasn't much to see. Niki got a really nice Blink 182 band tee with a floral print and I got a kebab.

When they finally came on, there was no nonsense and they started playing immediately and the crowd went crazy!

It was kinda strange to see how much they had aged, except for Travis. He looked freakishly the same and hasn't aged a day apparently.

On the way to the festival Davey had mentioned a sign Blink 182 apparently put up on most shows and when the lights came on and the band started playing he was a bit disappointed Blink 182 hadn't used this particular sign. So at the very end of the show, when they started lowering the flaming sign many had anticipated, Davey looked very happy (:

This was one hell of a trip down memory lane and we loved it! It was a great show and we all had an amazing time.

Before leaving we went for a quick stop at the restrooms, where I found the opportunity to leave my mark :) I just couldn't resist!

The story behind Louboutin's legendary red sole

Have you ever wondered why Louboutin's always have red soles? Then I've got good news, Christian Louboutin has revealed the story behind the red sole.

Back in 1993 in a studio in Paris, Christian Louboutin was working on the Pensée, a shoe inspired by Andy Warhol's "Flower". Feeling something was missing he searched his studio and spotted his assistant Sarah painting her nails. This color would become Louboutin's trademark, it was a color that suited every skin tone and goes with everything.

Louboutin's have become an iconic shoe piece and a must-have for every shoe lover.
I'm sure every girl would love a pair, I know I would.

Designers depicted as brand logos on tees, Mike Frederiqo starts a new trend

Young creative designer Mike Frederiqo( and I mean really young, he’s the same age as I am!) has designed a range of cute tees using the designers themselves to create brand logo’s. I spotted this artikel on InStyle, they were saying that celebraties such as Diane Kruger, Sarah Jessica Parker and Jessica Alba have been seen sporting these tees.

Mike Frederiqo born in 1991 , from The Nederlands started drawing at a young age. He stared of as a tattoo artist with some graffiti on the side before moving on to illustrations. It wasn’t long before he was noticed by numerous publications with his series of Spongebob cartoons depicted as designers among other things.
Today he focusses mainly on tee line.

I love these tees and might even buy one myself, you can find all of these on his website:

New Hair

Not exactly breaking news, but I had a small make-over. I decided a while back I wanted something different, a bit tired of the black color I had. I've had black hair (not really black, just very dark, a number 4) for about 5years and change was over due! I found a picture on the web, I think it was pinterest, but i'm not sure, and I showed my friend Elien who works at A Touch Of Jocye, and she said they would be happy to help.

This is the picture I found.

This is my hair before:

Elien and Joyce suggested putting in some copper, saying it would really look nice. And I'm glad they did. I really couldn't imagine what the result would be and was super happy when I saw it.

A big thanks to my friends Elien and Joyce, they did a great job, I love my new hair!

Bourjois Contour Clubbing Waterproof Eye Pencil review

Browsing the drugstores a few weeks ago, I came across Bourjois Contour Clubbing line. Available in range of metallic colors, many to chose from, great for finishing a  smokey look.
Bourjois claims it's waterproof formula is crease-resistent with a soft texture for easy application.
I wanted to try something different for a change, to replace the black eye liner I wear daily.

First impression:

I chose 45 Blue remix, which is a pretty metallic shade of turquoise. The appearance of the product is about as flash as it gets for an eye pencil, the color matching the pencil itself.

How it went:

The smooth formula makes it easy to apply and can be smudged within the first 5 minutes of application. It doesn't crease, as mentioned by Bourjois. Long lasting and water
It looks great!  The only thing i have to point out is that you might need to take care when sharpening the pencil, as it's so soft and breakable.

Conclusion:

I love the color but I don't think it's an everyday look. It's easy to apply and has a permanent spot in my make up bag!

Chanel's Cruise 2015 Bag Collection

Be prepared girls, soon Chanel wil be releasing it's Cruise 2015 collection. We wil be looking at the bags. Although a colourful line, the theme to this collection is gold. Inspired by the Middle East, Karl Lagerfeld brings us Arabian style pieces, accordingly shown in Dubai.

Showing us jerry cans and clutches. You never know what Chanel might bring.
One of my favourite piece has to be the pearl shaped bag.
